I'm here visiting in Phx. for my 25 (scary) high school reunion. It was interesting as I flew in over the valley I just had this instinctual feeling of "I'm from here", but it no longer feels like home. It was great last night to see some old friends and just feel like it was easy to hang out. I've known these people most of my life and even though my life is in SF now I can see how easy it would be to just come home and blend right in - well, maybe not politically! Anyway, had a lovely meal at our friends Steve and Debbie's house last night - Steve made a great Carne Asada and I introduced everyone to Pimento de Padrones - you watch - they will be popular here next year!
