Rice Krispies - still a treat!

If you remember my prior post for the amazing chocolate peanut butter cake - then you know I only used 1 cup of Rice Krispies - but since I had to buy a whole box - I made this and brought to lovely Lydia's party on saturday. She had a memorial BBQ Party for her cat (RIP Ginger) with a band and DJ. It was a great afternoon in our old hood - the first apartment we lived in here - downtown, Lower Nob-Hill, Upper-Tenderloin - whatever you want to call it! I can officially say there was not a scrap left. Also brought a zucchini cake - will post that recipe later.

Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Treats

couple tablespoons butter
1 jar marshmallow creme
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
6 cups rice krispies

Melt the butter and marshmallow together in a large bowl in the microwave. Should only take about 30 sec. Mix in the peanut butter. Fold in the krispies and then press into a 13x9 inch pyrex. Let cool then cut into bars. Watch them vanish!
