The downside of cauliflower

Now, I've made this Cauliflower Quiche quite a few times, and it is a lot of work, sauteing onions, roasting cauliflower, baking pastry crust... Not to mention the expense of mascarpone and gruyere cheese. So why is this lovely quiche now in my compost bin? After eating this one day for lunch I was so bloated and uncomfortable - I've since read that cauliflower and broccoli can cause stomach upset. So, even though this tasted good at the time, I couldn't bear the thought of eating it again. Oh the joys of getting older... at least I can still eat garlic!

  1. Sounds delicious! I'm sorry it didn't work out for you though.

As a side note, you can make marscapone at home really easily. I don't make it often though because my husband likes to eat it by the spoonful and it's all gone before I can use it.
