Yes, we are on Maui! Staying with our dear friends the Egers and eating fish everyday. One of my favorite places to get really fresh fish is in Paia. When we first started coming to Maui about 17 years ago it was a quiet little town and this place was never crowded. Now it's hard to find a parking spot but the Paia Fish Market restaurant is still worth it! It's also one of the best deals in town. This huge ono burger for only $9.50 (fries $2 extra). Rich got the grilled ono and I got the special Obama ono (blackened with wasabi butter) both were delicious with a great tartar sauce and coleslaw. We've been there twice this last week! On our way back from Keanae we stopped again but tried the Flatbread Pizza place (at Sarah's request - anything for our "god daughter") and it was great too. All fresh local ingredients cooked in a huge wood-burning oven. The salad was to die for - so when you are sick of fish (really?) try the flatbread place.
