A "Lokal" down home taste in Sonoma

Lokal is a new favorite place to go when you are up in Sonoma and sick of the wine thing. Our dear friends John & Heidi opened this wonderful homestyle Hungarian restaurant this year and everything we've had has been delicious! For lunch last week I had the meatball sandwich pictured here. Soft bread, tender meatballs and a yummy red pepper onion mixture (I can't remember what this sauce is called.) When Rich and I went for dinner we had the stuffed cabbage - a vegetarian option that I was in love with - and I don't normally like cooked cabbage - but this was light and filled with mushrooms and lentils. Rich had the chicken paprikas pot pie - and it was a total delight too! Oh and the schnitzle with spaetzle! You must try it when you are out and about in the bay area and need a break from the wine tasting/pretentious cal cuisine!

Post Note: They closed. Town of Sonoma just isn't ready. They don't know a good thing when they have it!
