Jennifer brought this adorable Tostone press back for me from the Dominican Republic and I finally tried it out - and I'm in love! I don't even like bananas but these fried green plantains don't taste like bananas - they are starchy and salty - I could eat them every day! I also made these black beans and a grilled Prather flank steak - served over a little rice cooked in chicken broth and it was a perfect meal. The only thing I changed about the beans was I substituted a red bell pepper for the chopped green one. Go Cuba! - or at the very least Miami!
