It was so nice and warm up here yesterday - so I thought why not an ice cream dessert?! Never mind that it ended up cold that night - it was still a delicious dessert - and pretty easy to make! I just saw this recipe for Nanaimo Bars in Food and Wine and decided to try it for our dinner last night. The recipe calls for mint chocolate chip ice cream but since Richard is a mint hater I did vanilla chocolate chip on half - Baskin Robbins of course! And TCHO chocolate for the extra chocolate parts - word on the street is they may have something like this coming soon...
Our littlest guest wanted both flavors - she is the smartest gal I know!
Post Note: This reminds me of my favorite birthday cake from my childhood in Phoenix - but better!
